Why did you want to change the current CPTA?


We need to send regular English financial reports to the headquarters in Australia. Accountants in the headquarters are not familiar with tax and accounting system in Japan, so explanation was often required. For that reason, to save our time, we were looking for a CPTA who can correspond in English and is able to take care of these matters.

We do not provide free consulting service. Why made you decide to request a tax consultation even though it costs?


I think it is not much beneficial to take consultant for free, rather I do not mind spending money if it’s worth it or for what we really need. Even if it doesn’t turn out as good as I expected, I just have to let it go. I believe this way of thinking has matched to the concept of Sakashita Office.

What was the impression of us when you first visited our office?


The office had a good atmosphere and good well designed.

Did you visit other accountant offices? How is our office different?


I felt comfortable in a friendly office. Once we started talking, I could tell that they were very kind and trying to help us sincerely, I thought I could trust them.

You came again for consultation for the second time. What made you come back?


The first time was regarding a matter that we had trouble with gaining an understanding of the people in charge in the headquarters. After meeting Sakashita office and reported the proposal from them, the headquarters understood very clearly. Second consultation is somewhat related to the same matter.

After that, we made monthly retainer contract. What is the reason you decided to shift to monthly contract?


I feel more comfortable to have monthly bookkeeping confirmed.
Thinking operation of our company, arrangement is highly important, and this applies to accounting. If we can close booking each month accurately, annual settlement goes smoothly. In the past we had an unidentified item in balance sheet and we wanted to clarify it.

Did you feel any difference to your company after made retainer contract?


We used to take twenty to twenty-five days to close booking, but now with Sakashita office guiding us, we can complete a monthly report within five business days or so.

With their high quality, reliable monthly report, it is now much easier to understand and analyze the number, and to be prepared for the next move. Since we have good framework of accounting operation, and we can close booking in short time. We don’t get frustrated anymore.


We have to submit accounting reports to the headquarters in Australia regularly. In the past with previous CPTA, we used to translate the Japanese report into English, which took us a half or full day. Now with Sakashita office, re receive these reports in English, so we do not need to spend time and cost for translation. We are very content that we can focus on our primary works.

Can you comment other points that you are satisfied with our office?


One good thing is that Sakashita office can see from business point of view. They give us suggestion not only from tax and accounting point of view, but always considering what would be beneficial for the company.
Also, they lead us to better direction. Sometime in-house account is caught up with stereotypes and cannot break the deadlock of the current situation. In that situation, they consider deeply what would be the best for our company and guide us to the best results.

In addition, the fact that two CPTAs are engaging is an advantage. They have different views so even with difficult situation, by discussing and exchange views and opinions, they provide us the best feedback. I believe this is very reliable.
