Why did you decide to change your CPA?


We used to have a CPA from local office.
As our company develops globally and sales channel in Japan has been growing, we started to look for a tax accountant office that has much experience in international taxation including transfer price issues. Since retainer fees of Big 4 were high, we kept looking for another local office that can make transfer price documents, and luckily, we found Sakashita Office.

Did you contact other accountant offices? How was your impression to our office compared to the others?


Yes, we did contact other offices. Out of those, Sakashita Office had quick respond. I think it was within a day while other offices took a few days till we received reply. Since the headquarters of our company make quick business judgements, we needed a CPA who can respond and provide necessary information promptly. I believed that Sakashita office can meet our requests.

First you had one month trial period for tax consulting, then you renewed to monthly retainer contract that contains book reviews and preparing tax return documents. Would you tell us why you decided to renew the contract?


During the retainer period, we asked consultation of international transaction issues that have been accumulated in our company for a long time. Sakashita office provided us solutions and information which were what exactly we needed! This made us believe that we can trust them and request inclusive total support that contains tax return documents.

What are the advantages to your company?


Sakashita office can check and confirm book review in very details. To have a tax accountant who can be trusted fully, we feel very relieved and that we are in a good condition. They are also very friendly so we can ask trivial questions without hesitating.

Please comment how we did on handling tax audit.


Sakashita office does a wonderful job. On the last tax audit with previous CPTA, we had to handle transfer price issues by ourselves. However, this time with Sakashita Office’s attendance, everything went so well. Preparing counter documents during the audit was crucial. In addition, they have helped by suggesting important points of PLI decision and benchmark regarding preparing transfer pricing documents, which guided us to a better direction. We are very appreciated for their reassuring support.

Would you suggest Sakashita office to those who are looking for new CPTA?


Yes, definitely!
Well, I’m afraid that they become too busy and can’t spend much time for us, though!
